               NORTH DEVON JOURNAL

                                                                   by Simon Lockyer

                                                                       29th May 2014

After attracting the police during filming of his horror movie,

local filmmaker Alex Poray's debut feature length offering is

now complete.

Police were notified after a terrifying abduction at North Devon

Leisure Centre saw a young woman bundled into the back of a tatty

looking ambulance - what they didn't know was it was all for a movie.

The Slayers - Portrait Of A Dismembered Family is a chilling tale of

kidnap, murder and satanic rituals. This mockumentary follows

Patrick Slayer who claims he was forced to film his father murdering

a young woman during a satanic ritual. His father, the Rt Hon Stanley

Slayer, claims his son is disturbed and wanted to make a horror movie.

Set in North Devon and Cardiff, with various Barnstaple landmarks

prevalent throughout, this haunting movie tells Patrick's tale from

his point of view, explaining of the guilt he harbours over his

bloodthirsty family.

Journal 2's Simon Lockyer watched the movie: "I was hooked from

the get-go," he said. "Im not a big horror movie fan but I thought this

was really original with the whole mockumentary aspect. I still don't

know what or who I should believe!"

Starring Lexray, David Poulter, Donna Beeching and Julian Poulter,

The Slayers - Portrait Of A Dismembered Family is due to be entered into film festivals this summer with a release date in the pipeline.

Recommended for ages 18 and over.
