I was one of those very fortunate, humbled critics that got the opportunity to see this indie horror film by Alex Poray called

The Slayers. I'm a fan of lower budget films, they just have more meat on them. As long as it's good. :)

You won't be disappointed. I wasn't!

Our story is made in the style of mockumentary - reality with an often step into artistic filming. If I were to ever make a horror movie and only had a couple of grand then this is the way I would do it.

We meet the main character Patrick in a pig mask. He is being interviewed by a documentary crew about his family and how he was raised. He claims they killed a young lady in a satanic ritual.

He talks a lot about his father who is a respected citizen with a clean record. But that is only a facade according to his son.

My only complaint is it tends to repeat itself slightly and becomes a sleeper because of it. I would have liked to see something new introduced instead of going over that was already said.

This is a minor flaw for me, it didn't ruin the movie for me at all.

Throughout the film we see footage of the family, what Patrick claims is evidence but his father claims to be Halloween fun. At the end you honestly want to know who is telling the truth.

And that is one thing I will not be giving my opinion on but rather let you find out for yourself.

Right now the movie isn't in wide distribution but you will be able to watch it at Viewster Online Film Fest from September 11 - 25 2014.

Check it out!
